Our creator.....MC Linzee

"Linzee weaves rhyme, spoken word, and vocals into the live DJ mixes. She doesn't assert herself over the mix-unlike perhaps, the more ego-driven of her male counterparts, but blends seamlessly with the track. In fact, without glancing at the booth, it's hard to tell there is an MC at all".--Knowledge Magazine/Nov 2002-UK.

Co-founder of Sister SF and Sister NYC, Linzee has worked hard to develop female talent across the US and beyond by exposing, managing and promoting up and coming female DJs. As a MC and Vocalist, She has caught the eye of the press such as Knowledge Magazine UK, NY Post and XLR8R for her unique microphone style that fuses MCing, scatting, rhyming as well as singing along side various styles of electronic music including her first love, drum 'n' bass and most recently breaks! Her vocals have also been aired on the CBS/March Madness special in 2003.

Linzee has moved on to join the local punk/pop band called "The Pervs" as thier lead singer and promoter. "The Pervs are an inspiring and debaucherous 80's rock/new wave/heavy metal outfit led by the ex-drum'n'bass luminary MC Linzee. Village Voice review published 8/16/06

"This local band brings punk back to its purest form in an all-out rock and roll love fest. Known for their crass lyrics, guitar crunch, and risqué dance moves that often involve singer Linzee Butta writhing on the floor, the audience gets a 365-degree experience of what it means to “get pervy.” The Clash, Sex Pistols and Sonic Youth are just some of the band’s influences. “Pervy is subtle while smashing it in your face,” McGonigle says. “It’s being sophisticatedly bawdy.” And of course, sexy. The band has earned catcalls, hoots and hollers from fans at The Knitting Factory, Don Hill’s, and the international music festival Emergenza. To let go of your inhibitions, join these rockers at their next show". AM NY 2007

Her August 2004 performance recieved press coverage in the NY Times for her performance with the Decadance dance company at the Fringe Festival. Linzee MC'd her original lyrics live over beats in the production of "Decadance vs. Firebird".

Currently Linzee is producing her own tracks under the monikers Lynz and Lynzer Perv as well as working with producer IBU600 in San Francisco.
